Mandy’s dance journey began in 2001 at KP School of Dance in Sauk City, Wisconsin. Over the course of her 14 years there, she fell in love with dance and found a passion for teaching and educating in the dance world.
Throughout her teen years she enjoyed her time as captain of her high school dance team, teaching her own classes at the local community center, as well as dancing competitively from 2012-2015. In her early 20’s she enjoyed working with the Sauk City theater, the Sauk City show choir as well as the Reedsburg and Monroe dance teams.
Upon graduating, Mandy returned to KP School of Dance where she began her professional teaching career. During her 8 years there she directed the KP Dance Company, a pre-professional performance group. This is where she found a passion in helping her students perform in a capacity that helps them grow as performers, as well as nurture who they are as individuals.

Mandy strives to make lasting connections with each of her students, working tirelessly to provide them with enriching and fulfilling classes. She understands the importance to teach dancers to have a strong work ethic, a good heart and to always keep your chin up. While dance is important, she hopes that her students take what they learn classroom and apply it to everyday life!

Mandy finds so much joy in seeing her dancers evolve, build confidence, and find their way within the dance world. She believes that each dancer has a unique talent and she looks forward to helping them find their artistic voice!
Emily began her "movement journey" when her mom enrolled her in ballet and tap at age 3, and then in gymnastics at age 4. She continued to love gymnastics and trained as a competitive gymnast all the way through high school, and also choreographed and performed on her high school's dance team.

After graduation Emily obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dance from UW-Madison. It was here that she gained deep appreciation for all forms of dance. She saw how dance gave meaning and purpose to people from different backgrounds and cultures. She learned about all the ways that dance can be utilized in our society and how it connects people - not only in times of celebration, but also during times of adversity.

After graduating, Emily toured professionally around the country with Li Chiao-Ping Dance, and also began teaching in Sauk City at KP School of Dance. She founded KP School of Dance's first competition team, Ignite Dance Company.

Emily is constantly working to help each of her students tap into their own passions and inner strength. For over a decade, she has shared her passion for dance and movement with students of all ages and abilities, giving them the skills and knowledge to take them far beyond the studio.
Emily looks forward to connecting with her students each and every day in the studio and pushing them to be their best!

Miss Emily's Story
Miss Lyla has been teaching at AIM Dance Center since 2025. She specializes in Combo, Hip Hop, Jazz & Lyrical, but also enjoys teaching and performing modern, contemporary and tap!
At age 4, Miss Lyla found a love for both dance and gymnastics. Gymnastics taught her the value of overcoming challenges and dance taught her to express herself through movement. At age 15 she joined KP Dance Company directed by Mandy McDonald in Sauk City, WI. Here she learned the value of a team, perseverance and a strong work ethic. Her senior year of high school she made it to state gymnastics where she competed in all four events. Miss Lyla understands the importance of working hard, but having fun while doing so and hopes to instill these same values in her students!

In her free time she enjoys being active and spending time with friends. When she's not teaching at AIM, she is in training to be a coach at Badger Gymnastics Academy in Waunakee, WI.
Miss Geneva has been teaching at AIM Dance Center since 2024. She specializes in Pre-Ballet, Combo & Hip Hop, but also enjoys teaching and performing modern, jazz and tap!
Miss Geneva's love of dance began at the young age of 3 years old at Turning Point Dance Academy in Stevens Point, WI. At age 13 her love of dance grew when she join the Ignite Dance Company founded by Emily Schultz in Sauk City, WI. Here she learned hard work, determination and a sense of family. She loved the comradery and sense of accomplishment that being on this team brought. Miss Geneva's hope is that she can give her students this same feeling both in and out of the classroom.
In her free time Miss Geneva enjoys spending time with friends, family and her dog (Nova). When she is not teaching at AIM, she is working as Special Education Paraprofessional in Middleton, WI.
